Unless you live without news access, then you have probably  heard someone talking about the Ottawa area‘s newest street novelty-the $100 Hotdog, presented by DougieDog Hot Dogs. The Vancouver based restaurant announced the latest in fast food extravagance, the world’s first $100 hot dog. Are you ready to find out what could possibly make a hotdog worth $100? And how about it, are you ready to dish out $100 for this?

Called The Dragon Dog, the foot-long bratwurst is steeped in 100-year-old cognac and topped with Kobe beef, lobster and truffle oil. This much talked about addition to the Ottawa communities restaurant, the hot dog arrives right on the heels of the Year of the Dragon, and it acts as a bit of promotion for the titular Dougie’s upcoming appearance on tomorrow’s Dragon’s Den show. The owner warns that 12 hours advanced notice is required for an order,  I suppose to allow ample time for the Louis XIII to fully soak in, so if you are rearing to try out this drool worthy hot dog, and ready to dish out $100 dollars for it, make sure you call ahead!
